Drinking enough water?

Hi to the best women's networking group in Southwest Florida!

We are all constantly hearing about the need to drink enough water. Have you ever really given serious consideration as to why? I read a quote the other day that said if we didn't give our bodies enough water, it would recycle dirty water through our systems. Yuk! I definitely don't want dirty water running through my body!

As far as weight-loss is concerned, drinking enough water is essential. As your body burns fat for fuel, it releases toxins stored in the fat, so you need enough water to flush the toxins.

Also, I have read several times that drinking 16 ozs. of water about an hour before a meal will make you eat less. You don't want to drink excessive amounts with food as some tell you to do as that would dilute your stomach acid to the point that you may not properly digest your food.

If you are thinking that you really don't enjoy the taste of plain water, I"ll share a secret with you. Your body can get used to just about anything, increase your water consumption and you just may find yourself craving a nice, cold glass of water.

So, whether you are training women in business this week, out networking or being a "work from home" mom, I hope you remember to drink your water!

Yes, drinking pure water is so important. The general rule is that you should be drinking 1 oz. of water for very 2 lbs. of body weight. So the old wives tales of drinking eight 8 oz. glasses of water is perfect... if you weigh 120 lbs.
